The Public Solicitor manages a large number of criminal and civil cases for and on behalf of people throughout the country. All services are provided free of charge to qualifying persons.
Criminal Cases
Legal representation for all indictable offences under the Criminal Code, including bail applications, appeals, and matters carrying penalties exceeding two years imprisonment.

Legal Aid Applications
All applications must be lodged with relevant documents. The Public Solicitor may grant or refuse; any refusal can be reviewed by the National Court.
